[Pw_forum] difficult problem

Dear pwscf users and developpers,

I have recently been contacted by a group doing
nasty experiments on magnetic materials!!
They would be interested in getting the influence of spin-orbit on
the conductance of a magnetic material (a break junction, that would
be modelized by a simple nanowire:-)
I know that one can get conductance with pwscf and that
spin-orbit has recently been implemented in the espresso release.
But is-it possible to calculate the conductance in presence
of spin-orbit?
The idea would be to calculate the conductance for various spin
orientations (great idea from a weird mind:-)

Thanks in advance

    cyrille
