I think you have omitted some packeages  like package called opengl* when you install XCrySDen ,which is  very  important

Compiling xcrysden source is not very trivial. Besides you may consider
to use the newer source package:

http://www.xcrysden.org/download/xc-latest-source.tar.gz

I would recommend to use the pre-compiled package.

http://www.xcrysden.org/download/xc-latest-linuxPC-semishared.tar.gz
