[xcrysden] Installation of xcrysden [SOLVED]

Dear  Lorenzo Paulatto

Woow,,,,you really save the day,,,,I try your suggestion and it works,,,,AMAZING..........I just put unset MALLOC_CHECK_ in the first line of xcrysden file and everything works well......Now I can play around with xcrysden

I think now it's better we put some information in xcrysden website about this so that someone in the future will not repeat the same mistake

Because I already change the subject title and I add [SOLVED],,,I write the easiest step to install xcrysden in linux system as follows :

1. We need to download one of the following:
 
 +) for 32-bit linux:
http://www.xcrysden.org/download/xc-1.5.17-linux_x86-semishared.tar.gz
 
 +) for 64-bit linux:
http://www.xcrysden.org/download/xc-1.5.21-linux_x86_64-semishared.tar.gz
 
 +) for cygwin:
http://www.xcrysden.org/download/xc-1.5.18-cygwin-shared.tar.gz
 
 
2. For any of this package, all we need to do is to unpack it, i.e.,

tar zxvf filename.tgz3. In the command line,,,inside the directory of the xcrysden that we have download,,,execute ./xcConfigure and be sure to update xcrysden info in the ~/.bashrc to point to the xcyrsden directory

4. Edit the xcrysden file and add the unset MALLOC_CHECK_ in the beginning of xcrysden file

5. In the command line type xcrysden to start the xcrysden
