I tried the xcrysden semishared binary package on openSUSE 13.2
installed on a USB stick, and it worked fine for me.

If it helps, below are my notes. Since you already have openSUSE
installed, you should be able to start with step 9.

1. Go to: https://software.opensuse.org/132/en
2. Click the link "Click here to display these alternative versions."
3. Download 64 bit Live KDE: openSUSE-13.2-KDE-Live-x86_64.iso
4. Go to: http://www.osforensics.com/tools/write-usb-images.html
5. Download: imageusb.zip
6. Extract imageUSB.exe from imageusb.zip
7. Run: imageUSB.exe
a. For Step 1, select the drive for the USB stick
b. For Step 2, select Write image to USB drive (unchecked Post Image
Verification)
c. For Step 3, click Browse and select openSUSE-13.2-KDE-Live-x86_64.iso
d. For Step 4, click Write and Yes twice
8. Boot from the USB stick
a. Select openSUSE 13.2 KDE Live
9. Open a terminal and perform the following (needs internet connection):

linux at linux:~> wget
http://www.xcrysden.org/download/xcrysden-1.5.60-linux_x86_64-semishared.tar.gz
linux at linux:~> tar xvf xcrysden-1.5.60-linux_x86_64-semishared.tar.gz
linux at linux:~> cd xcrysden-1.5.60-bin-semishared/scripts/
linux at linux:~/xcrysden-1.5.60-bin-semishared/scripts> ./xcConfigure.sh
...
more: unknown option -more (ignored these errors and pressed enter)
    Used defaults
